It was time to plan and work towards designing, fundraising for, and building a new facility that would serve the members and community for another 30 years.

From lazy afternoons lounging by the water, to playing games with the kids, to catching up with old friends, Seminole Pool has been an essential part of summer for countless families.

Fundraising Update:
Exciting Fundraising Progress Toward Our New Facility!
Thanks to the hard work and dedication of a group of committed volunteers, Seminole 2.0 has seen incredible progress in our fundraising efforts. During the off-season, we raised over $15,000 – and that number continues to grow! We are grateful for these volunteers' efforts and invite more members to join them and help us continue this momentum throughout the summer season.
Member Feedback and Phasing Options
Last summer, we explored different phasing options for the new facility and gathered feedback from members through a survey. The results indicated our membership prefers a complete build-out, even if it means waiting to secure the necessary funds. We are committed to honoring this preference and ensuring we have the financial stability to proceed responsibly.
Setting Our Sights on 2030
We have an ambitious yet achievable goal: to complete the new facility by 2030. This timeline aligns with our upcoming opportunity to host the All-City Swim Meet in 2031. If we can secure funds sooner, we will begin construction earlier. Our goal remains to build a facility that meets the long-term needs of our community.
Maintaining Our Current Facility
We want to be transparent: our current pool mechanics and facilities are aging. The pool board is doing everything possible to maintain and extend the life of the existing facilities, but we must be prepared for any unexpected failures. If a critical component breaks, we will act as needed to keep the pool open and operational.
A Call to Action for All Members
This is a critical moment for Seminole 2.0. To make our new facility a reality, we need every member's support. At the end of this month, we will launch a new format for member donations and pledges. By the end of the summer, we aim to have a clear understanding of our financial standing and whether we can achieve our vision.
