EVENTS
UPCOMING EVENTS: Mark your calendars!
On Wednesday July 9th, your swimmer can swim laps for up to 60 minutes either during their regularly scheduled swim team time or in a lap lane during open swim. Extra lap lanes will be available during open swim times. We will have a shorter lap in shallow water for beginning swimmers. Laps (down and back) will be recorded by coaches or volunteers.
Swimmers can work with their families to collect donations for the Swim-a-thon by contacting family and friends. Pledges can be a flat amount or an amount per lap that your swimmer completes.
During the Swim-a-thon we will have music and a Culvers and Kona Ice voucher for each participant. The Kona Ice truck will visit Seminole from 3-5 pm and Glass Nickel Pizza will be available for purchase from 5-7 pm.
The top FIVE participants that raise the most money will receive a prize basket full of fun swimmer swag and the top TWO swimmers will also receive a free bowling party from Ten Pin Alley.
An added incentive for our swim team members - the swim team age group that raises the most money will have their swim coaches get shaving creamed!
How to collect donations:
Use a pledge form to collect cash, check or Venmo donations and make sure your flat amount donations are brought in on the day of the Swim-a-thon. If someone wants to pledge per lap we will communicate the number of laps swam after the swim-a-thon and collect payments the following week.
Pledges can be made in cash, check or via Venmo and donations are tax deductible (EIN #92-0605763). Please make checks out to 26.5 Foundation or you can use Venmo @Seminole 2_0. When your pledgers use Venmo, they should put the swimmer's name and swimathon in the "what's it for”.
If you prefer to pledge online, scan the QR code or follow the link. You can share the link with family and friends. https://forms.gle/ZmzvDPyziAEsZ6A5A

Seminole Rummage Sale!
Seminole Pool and Tennis Club Parking Lot
Friday May 2 and Saturday May 3, 2025
We raised over $7,000 toward Seminole 2.0 and generated some great connections with others in the community, with many people asking about pool membership and others reminiscing of their previous "Seminole Summers." A giant thank you to the volunteers who helped out - this could not have happened without you. A special callout to Suzanne Formanek and her son Wyatt who not only volunteered at the pool clean up days, but then moved out to help us with the rummage clean up and stuck with us for 3 extra hours of work!
There were also some of the Fundraising Event Committee that really stepped up for this Event - be sure to thank the Huber, Heggeseth and Hanson families next time you see them for all the days of work they put in ahead of time for this to happen. They also toughed out two long days at the sale, together with Crystal Nemeth (who may have helped you with her personal shopping skills). Finally, Mindy Fleming helped make drop offs happen (you may have seen her smiling face at the storage unit gate) and Emily Moenck did a little bit of everything. So many others helped in other little and big ways - it definitely took a village to pull this off. Thank you to all!
