Seminole 2.0
The biggest thing on board members' minds is what comes next. The pool facility needs redeveloping, an effort we're calling Seminole 2.0. The main drivers behind this effort are:
aging pool with plaster damage
inefficient pool layout that limits swim and dive lessons and team practice
intense interest in membership – we sold out this year and currently have more than 150 households on a waitlist
tennis courts need new foundation and resurfacing
As you can imagine, the central question is: "how do we pay for this?"
Our 2.0 committee and the board are at work on fundraising and sound fiscal planning. We will have more information on that in the coming weeks and will likely have another open house event at the pool, as well as on Zoom, to answer your questions.
In the meantime, if you have sponsorship or fundraising ideas or want to help the committee with this, please contact Seminole2.0@seminolepool.org.
