Member Email: Survey Results
Hello Seminole Family,
A huge thank you to everyone who completed our Seminole 2.0 survey! We heard from 263 of you, and while there wasn’t an overwhelming favorite, waiting to secure full funding (for both the pool and bathhouse) was the top choice with 108 responses. A liner system with limited fixes came in second (86), followed by a phased approach beginning with the bathhouse (69).
So, what’s next?
We thank the many families and individuals who have already generously pledged more than $512K. We’re going to do all we can to super-charge our fund-raising efforts to fill the $2.9M fundraising gap for the full buildout. This fundraising goal is in addition to our estimated bank loan and reserve capital.
We’re still actively pursuing large donations from corporate donors and foundations, though they haven’t come through yet. We’ve also reached out to neighboring businesses like Promega, Epic and Sub-Zero, but unfortunately, our project doesn’t align with their giving strategies.
We believe the strength of this project lies in the power of our community. Your contributions, volunteer time, and connections are what will bring Seminole 2.0 to life.
To break down the $2.9M figure, that’s about $5K per family of four. That’s a big number but we want to be transparent about our situation. To be clear, there’s no plan to charge families that amount, we’re simply providing for context.
Remember, donations are tax-deductible, and no immediate payment is required. Pledges can be spread over three years, with the first payment due when construction begins.
How Can You Help?
If a financial contribution isn’t possible, we’d love your time, talent, or ideas—especially if you have grant writing or fund-raising experience. Every effort counts as we push toward making the new Seminole pool a reality.
Our pool in its current state won’t last forever. The time to act is now. By supporting this project, you’re not only preserving a pool but you’re helping create a space where our families can gather, connect, and thrive for years to come.
