Hello Seminole Family,

Our 2023 pool season may be in the final month, but efforts on Seminole 2.0 continue to hum along. I want to share a few important updates:

Successful July: We had a fantastic July, raising more than $18,000 from swim team events toward our future facility. Thank you again to everyone who participated and donated!

So far, we’ve raised over $100,000 in donations and pledges. We have a long way to go, but we will build on the momentum we’ve created this summer.

Pledge Drive: We will kick off our member pledge drive this week. Our volunteers will be calling all members this August to ask you to consider pledging toward Seminole 2.0. This summer’s fundraising outcomes will shape the Seminole 2.0 timeline and feasibility and help determine our next steps. PLEDGE NOW.

Anyone who pledges or donates will receive an “I BACK SEM” yard sign. These signs help promote our efforts to the broader community.

No money is required at the time of your pledge. Opting for the pledge option enables you to manage your donation in a way that fits your budget and allows you to spread your support over an extended period. Pledges can be paid over three years, with the first payment due on September 1 of the year construction begins. Remember, any donations – now or in the future – are tax deductible!

Other Fundraising Efforts: We have submitted applications to multiple foundations and are actively exploring suitable grant opportunities. Outreach efforts extend to local businesses and philanthropic entities within the area. Alongside promoting the recognition opportunities for the new facility, the board is considering offering annual sponsorship opportunities to local businesses. If you have any connections, please share them with us.

Party Time: As a thank you for your support, please mark your calendars for Wednesday, August 30, 5-8 p.m. at the pool, for an end-of-season party. We will have beverages for all and treats for the kids. The Seminole 2.0 team will be on hand to answer your questions and share plans for our future pool and tennis facility.
